ABOUT T.D.CENTAUR
The artist of the mechanical workshop, T.D.Centaur likes to work in oils and the engineering equivalent of the found poem.

In a world-first technique, T.D.Centaur immortalizes vehicles and aircraft in their own engine oil, using science, chemistry and art to capture and preserve the oil into a glossy state that mimics the oil when wet.
Each oil has its own, unique scent and 'life', which is evident under close inspection. The scent itself, is often retained, and each painting is framed without glass to allow the tactile surface to be gently touched.

T.D.Centaur specialises in capturing both historical and modern subjects, featuring vehicles and aircraft from the pre-war era right up to modern day, each piece carrying the vehicle or aircraft's story in a unique format, found nowhere else on Earth.
